Dr. Joyesh Raj
Dr. Joyesh Raj is a leading board-certified plastic surgeon in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned his Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Biology from The University of Chicago and graduated from the University of Cincinnati's medical school. He completed a general surgery residency at Fairview Hospital, followed by a plastic surgery residency at the University of Colorado.
After his residency training, Dr. Raj trained with some of the most well-known cosmetic surgeons in Miami and New York City. Then, he returned to Denver as the Director of Cosmetic Surgery for the University of Colorado Medical Center, where he performed reconstructive and hand surgery for adults and children at Denver Children's Hospital, Denver Health Medical Center and Denver's VA Hospital.
While in Denver, Dr. Raj pursued a special charitable endeavor. Spurred by his experience working with children with congenital deformities (and lack of insurance benefits) at Denver's Children Hospital, he founded the BAR Children's Foundation to raise funds for these children to obtain the care they need.
Dr. Raj then returned to Cleveland to establish Raj Plastic Surgery, providing cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery to children and adults. His focuses include cosmetic surgery, minimally invasive and non-invasive aesthetic procedures, major reconstructive surgery, breast reconstruction, post-bariatric body contouring, limb salvage, hand and micro-vascular surgery.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Raj is an accomplished writer, educator and speaker. He has lectured nationally and internationally about cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, and has written a number of articles for scientific journals, abstracts and book chapters.
